Job Title: Factory Supervisor - Plastic Operations
Location: Festac, Lagos
Department: Production / Manufacturing


Job Summary

* We are seeking a skilled and experienced Factory Supervisor with a strong background in plastic manufacturing operations (e.g., injection molding, extrusion, blow molding).
* The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising daily factory activities, ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining product quality, and leading a team to achieve production goals safely and on time.


Key Responsibilities

* Supervise day-to-day operations on the production floor, ensuring adherence to production schedules and targets.
* Oversee plastic processing equipment such as injection moulding machines, extruders, and auxiliary equipment.
* Monitor machine settings and parameters for optimal efficiency and quality.
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
* Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on products and production processes.
* Coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure proper functioning of machinery.
* Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff to build a high-performing team.
* Monitor raw material usage and waste, ensuring minimal loss and optimal material management.
* Maintain production and shift reports accurately and timely.


Qualifications & Experience

* High school diploma or equivalent; diploma or degree in mechanical/industrial/production engineering preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a plastic manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of plastic processing technologies (injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, etc.).
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
